Fear is one of mankind’s strongest emotions. Fear can make you flee or make you fight, but it can also make you stronger. Read on to find out how to deal with your deepest fears!

FEAR OF THE UNKNOWN

1. Fear of the Future

Fear Phrase:“I don’t know what’s going to happen!”
Fear Buster: Focus your energy on the present. Your future is a mystery, and unless somebody gives you a prophecy about your life, like what Professor Trelawney did for Harry Potter, you have no way of knowing what lies ahead. Instead of being afraid of the seniors who might taunt you if you try out for the sports team, concentrate on practicing hard so you can do your best once tryouts come.

2. Fear of Losing a Loved One

Fear Phrase: “I don’t want to be alone!”
Fear Buster: Treasure the time you spend with your loved ones. It’s normal to be concerned about their safety, but not to the point of strangling them with care. It’s good to make sure they’re safe, but you have to accept the fact that you have no control over what happens to them when you’re not together. Stop being paranoid. Instead of being a nag, make every moment you spend with your loved ones memorable and enjoyable.
