Waiting isn't really a popular option in this day and age, what with everything "instant" populating stores and social media. But for some of us, waiting is still the best option especially when it comes to finding love.

In our Candy Feels section, there are a lot of Candy Girls who have written about their decision to wait for the right person to come along before falling in love. These are letters addressed to the future love of their lives and letters that explain why they're sticking to their decision of waiting.

Isabelline: The Joy of Waiting for a Love Worth Finding

"People say that you know you're ready for love when you're also ready to get hurt. Pain is the opposite of love, but pain can also be prevented. How? By waiting. Yes, waiting, for the right time and right person. I'm not against young love because I, myself, have encountered it. I just want to share my thoughts on this struggle and give my fellow teens some advice to be stronger and responsible in this area of life.

Pain is the opposite of love, but pain can also be prevented. How? By waiting.

"To prevent heartbreak, one must really guard their hearts (Proverbs 4:23) and pray for their feelings. Most teens today rely on their short-term feelings, give their partners everything—which just cause them to get hurt in the end. That's why most young couples end in painful breakups."

Lorraine Balbaloza: To the Man I Will Fall in Love with in the Future

"I would love to help you mend your broken heart. I would love to make happy memories with you. As you go on with your life, I would also do the same. I will keep on going and let God rule our love story. I just haven't met you yet but I am getting ready for that.

"I can't wait to tell you how much I love you. I can't wait to tell everyone how lucky I am that I have you. I know this will be a tough journey but one thing's for sure, this is worth waiting for. You are worth waiting for. This may take months and even years; I really don't care."

Abi Villanueva: Wait for a Man Who's Worth It

"Don't wish for a flawless, perfect man; wish for a man who's worth it. Wait for a man who's worth it. Save your heartbreak for the man who'll break your restrictions because if he's worth it, he'll never break your heart. He'll never let you cry. Yes, relationships are messy; it's supposed to be messy and that's the way it is. But it will be worth it if the man you're with is worth it.

"Wait for a man who's worth it. Wish for a man who will do what he says. If he says he'll call, he will. He makes promises and keeps it. He won't make you worry; he'll do all the worrying for you."
