What Is This Cake Trend And Why Are They Giving Us Trust Issues?
If you think the things you’re seeing around you are all too real, think again. There’s a cake trend spreading all over social media that will make you think everything is made of CAKE.
The fuss started when @tasty tweeted a video of cutting random stuff in half, and it turns out they were all cake. It’s crazy!

It might be satisfying and *mind-blowing* but TBH, the more you watch it, the weirder it gets. So it got us questioning, "how???"
Cakes like these are made of fondant. According to thespruceeats.com, "Fondant is a playdough-like sugar paste that can be rolled out and draped over a simple or sculpted cake. It is usually kneaded until very silky and pliable and can be used to create a smooth seamless finish on cakes in any color." Fondant is a type of icing that tastes like marshmallows. So it tastes better than the normal icing, right? Right.
Although the cakes taste nice, the deceiving videos of it trigger many people's trust issues.
