Mark Kelvin used to be a charcoal artist who danced on TikTok for fun. Now, he’s a street photographer who does photoshoots with strangers wherever he goes.
Kelvin was inspired to do his stranger photoshoots after seeing photographers do it in other countries. After posting his first photoshoot on TikTok in June 2020, his work was noticed immediately and he now has more than one million followers on the platform.
Doing these photoshoots are not as easy as they seem. He says that the one big challenge of doing this type of content is talking to strangers during the pandemic and letting them know that he is genuine about his purpose. He's also aware of the criticism about his photos but he does not let it discourage him. To him, there is always room for improvement after all.
At the end of the day, Mark is grateful and overwhelmed by the support he receives from all his followers. He says that the most rewarding part of what he does is for people to recognize his craft and be inspired by what he does. It warms his heart to make people feel special in his own simple way.
