Emma Watson has been nothing but vocal about pushing for gender equality (remember HeforShe?), narrowing the gender wage gap, and so much more. And yet, she's been recently taking a beating for being anti-women or anti-feminist. Of all the people who could be accused for it, right? This is because she recently posed bra-less for Vanity Fair's March issue and apparently for some people, Em was being a hypocrite.

Being the feminist that she is, Emma stood her ground and even said something about the issue (not that she owes anybody an explanation), gladly reminding everyone what feminism is and is not.

Feminism is about giving women choice.

Feminism is not a stick with which to beat other women with.

It's about freedom, it's about liberation, it's about equality.

In short, it's not as shallow as whether one is showing her breasts or not. Watch the video below for Emma's full explanation.
