"Nangutang, nagbayad, naka-graduate!!!" It's not every day that you get to hear someone proudly say he resorted to utang to finish a college degree, but Christian Lopez, a BSHRM Major in Cruise Management fresh graduate at Jose Rizal University did just that and even shared his story on Facebook.

Unlike most success stories of students whose parents played a major role in financing their education albeit the lack of money, Christian had to find the means by himself, with the help of his sister, and his dad. Read his story below.

He also said that he tried his hand at a small business, even if it meant traveling at great lengths just to sell his products. He would even encounter demanding or rude customers, but he would always take it in stride just to earn whatever small amount he could get.

"May time na di talaga ako pumapasok kase walang-wala talaga.

Christian's father is an OFW in Saudi who was also struggling to make ends meet. There was a time when he wasn't able to send money for at least six months because of the crisis happening in the country. He would send money whenever he could, but most of the time, they would use it either to pay the fees in school or their debts, which is why he is forever grateful to the people who lent him and his sister money.

Thank you, G!

WAG KANG FEELING MAY AMNESIA!!!
