This Pinoy Couple Made an Educational Board Game That's Being Sold Internationally
For the first birthday party of Alex and Shiela dela Cuesta’s daughter, the couple created a game to use as a party favor.
From their daughter’s name Deborah which means “bee” in Hebrew, they decided to have a bee-themed birthday party and develop a game about bees and honey.
Sting A Win is a fusion of Snakes and Ladders and Exploding Kittens. Like Snakes and Ladders, the first player who reaches the top (or the hive) wins the game. There are also predators like frogs, spiders, and birds that they need to beat with the help of sting cards that keep the player alive in the game, just like Exploding Kittens. Aside from obstacles, there are also quiz bees that are based on facts and trivia about bees that make it educational and fun.
The board game has been sold internationally, in Singapore, UK, Australia, and Venezuela, but it’s also available for purchase at our local bee farms.
