These Models Will Help You Embrace Your Scars

When we think of models, we automatically think of the word perfect. But these five models who were interviewed by Teen Vogue show us that they're just like everyone else—they have scars, too, scars that they tried to hide at one point in their lives.
But what's moving about their stories is that they actually learned to embrace the scars as they grew older. Some of them even faced bullies, wanted to have them removed, but they figured out that these scars are actually part of who they are and their stories.

"We all have scars, some you can see, some you can't."

"Rock that scar! Rock. That. Scar. Don't be afraid! I feel like everything happens for a reason and there's a reason why I have my scar. I wouldn't be able to tell my story if I didn't have it."
The road to accepting yourself—quirks and all—won't be easy. There are times when you have to decide that you love yourself every single day. But you should know that these scars and flaws you consider are actually pieces of the story of your life. They are memories and reminders that you're in this world for a bigger purpose, to share your story and who you are, so other girls can feel the same, that they're not alone because someone's going through the same thing just like them.
