The Important Lesson About Body-Shaming We Learned from Gigi Hadid
It's eye-opening.

Whoever said that Gigi Hadid is "too skinny" to be a model should meet with the others who said that she's "too fat" to walk the runway and talk about Gigi's battle with hypothyroidism and how body-shaming her isn't helping instead.

In a recent presscon, Gigi admitted to battling a thyroid disease for a couple of years now. "My metabolism actually changed like crazy this year. I have Hashimoto's disease. It's a thyroid disease, and it's now been two years since taking the medication for it," she said in a presscon.

Who would've thought that the super confident Victoria's Secret Angel who strutted down the runway in front of thousands of viewers has been battling with a disease that causes the metabolism to slow down and in effect can make her sluggish, gain weight, and be depressed. Not us, and definitely not her body-shamers!

Lesson learned: Do not diss someone (not just Gigi and other models/celebs, but other people, too) because of their size especially since you don't know what they are going through. Everyone's bodies are beautiful no matter what size or shape they are.

Have you ever been shamed because of your weight or how you look? Will you think twice before commenting about a person's physical appearance?
