We're big movie buffs at the Candy HQ, constantly chattering about the latest film we've seen over lunch and excitedly swapping trailers of movies we want to see in the cinema soon. Lately there have been a few trailers of movies about women in different eras. Here are just a few movies we're looking forward to—a mix of life lessons, strange love stories, and nostalgic history.
20th Century Women
Starring Annette Benning, Elle Fanning, Greta Gerwig, and directed by Mike Mills, 20th Century Women tells the story of 3 women living in Southern California the 1970s. It's set for release on Christmas Day but we're hoping it gets an early release here before the Metro Manila Film Fest takes over the theaters.
The Space Between Us
If you've been in a long distance relationship, you'll think your problems are nothing compared to this pair's. Imagine chatting with someone who's just miles away from you only to find out he's actually from Mars! Would you believe him? Asa Butterfield plays Gardner Elliot who is born in Mars. He meets Tulsa, played by Britt Robertson, and suddenly wants to go to Earth. Will his body be able to handle it? Is she worth the trip? Can't wait to see how this story unfolds!
