It's the time of the year again—the time of jingles, good food, and all sorts of merriment including *gasp* social events! Perhaps for you, Christmas, being the season of love and good cheer, is something you both love and hate. With social gatherings left and right, just the whole thought of it gives you anxiety. But fear not, Shy Girl, don't let that drain you of your Christmas spirit with these few tips we've prepared for you.

The social scenario:
Your tita you haven't seen since last year's Noche Buena goes up to you and says, "dalaga ka na. You grew up to be so pretty!"

What to do:
Never mind that she says this to you every year. Hold back the sarcasm and just smile politely and say thank you! Because really, why shouldn't you?

The social scenario:
Getting introduced to cousins you have absolutely no memory of and being forced to actually interact with them.

What to do:
Talk to them. They're your cousins, which makes them family. Who knows, they might be just as shy as you are. Don't hesitate to introduce yourself first and start a conversation. You can always start with the basic questions such as, "Where do you study again?" and start from there.

The dreaded "do you have a boyfriend?" questions

What to do:

What to do:
Go for round two. Honestly, take the buffet to your advantage and just enjoy the food. So what if they notice? It's food. Food is always a good idea. They'll understand. Even JLaw supports you.
