We love reading and watching books and movies of the YA (read: young adult) genre. So when we spotted the hilarious Twitter account @TypicalYAHero, we know we just had to hit that follow button and share this account with you. It gives us a lot of good laughs about how most (if not all) YA characters and stories are identical. That includes relationships and romance and finding love. Sometimes they just make us want to live in a YA world. Sometimes. Until one of our loved ones remind us that even though the real world is imperfect, the imperfections make our happy endings even happier. Anyway, just in case you don't believe us when we say YA stories are similar, we've gathered 10 tweets that will surely describe most of our favorite books and movies to you.
1 Clumsy? Not a problem. A cute guy's arms is always ready to catch you.
It's amazing how the only place I stumble is into your arms.— Typical YA Heroine (@TypicalYAHero) February 26, 2015
2 It takes a while before you finally get together with a guy who's been showing you signs that he's into you. It's not fate. It's just necessary... and a little more interesting.
I'd really like my happy ending, but I have at least two more books before that happens. That or die. One of those.— Typical YA Heroine (@TypicalYAHero) February 26, 2015
3 There is only one person in the world who sees and knows who you really are. Only one person. And that's not even your parents or siblings.
I'm so happy that even though you are an incredibly hot guy, no girl has EVER wanted you until me. Only I see who you REALLY are.— Typical YA Heroine (@TypicalYAHero) February 26, 2015
4 Um, yeah. This is reality in the YA world.

5 Because it's this easy.

7 This never sounded more romantic than in a YA story.
No, really. I didn't even notice the hot guy was treating me like crap. I was too busy hoping he'd return my unrequited love.— Typical YA Heroine (@TypicalYAHero) February 17, 2015
8 Life hack: Find love by transferring to a new town and a new school.
No matter what new school I go to, I always seem to attract the attention of the one guy everyone else wants, but no one ever gets.— Typical YA Heroine (@TypicalYAHero) February 14, 2015
9 How many minutes does it take to fall in love with someone? Five minutes... or even less, the moment your eyes meet. It doesn't even matter if he just moved into your town.
OMG I LOVE THAT BOY SO MUCH! I can NOT think of life without him! I mean, I've known him for like 5 minutes, which is like FOREVER.— Typical YA Heroine (@TypicalYAHero) February 13, 2015
10 See what we mean?
Hey you. In the corner...yes you with the smoldering eyes and arched brow, wearing the half-smirk laced with charm. I insta-love you.— Typical YA Heroine (@TypicalYAHero) March 10, 2015
