Body positivity has been an ongoing conversation irl and online, especially when it comes to the cutthroat industry of modeling and even entertainment.

Just a few days ago, actress Angel Locsin's weight gain became a hot topic on social media yet again. Some were quick to point out the actress' body transformation, while others showed support for the "real-life Darna" and pushed forward messages of body positivity. Nowadays, however, more and more people are slowly and gradually demolishing the stereotypes in the industry.

Inspired by Angel, print ad model Roselle Vytiaco also came forward with her inspiring body positivity story in a Facebook post. Roselle has been modeling for various projects and brands over the years, but was a bit hesitant to share her latest project on social media due to the fear of getting body-shamed for not having the "typical model figure." Inspired by Angel, however, Roselle went ahead and wrote a simple yet low-key inspiring message about it.

"I already accepted a long time ago that my body’s really not the 'model' type but [of course] sometimes I still get insecure about it," writes Roselle in her post, even pointing out her "braso." "This was actually taken 2 months ago wherein I was at my heaviest weight ever."

On a lighter note, Roselle also expressed gratitude for brands that provide projects to aspiring models with different body types. "Looking at the brighter side of things, I am truly grateful for brands that love/accept their models as they are," she adds in her post.

Rosell, who used to be a cheerleader in college, was also chosen to be part of Candy's Class of 2018 for being the former co-captain of the Miriam College Pep Squad. If there's anything to learn from Roselle's simple Facebook post, it's that you can step out of the mold and pursue what you're passionate about, even if society says you're not fit for it.
