This is happening and we urge you to take part in this.

To say that we have intense emotions over dictator Ferdinand Marcos, Sr.'s burial at the Libingan ng mga Bayani earlier today is an understatement. We felt shocked and cheated because we never thought this was actually going to happen... behind our backs again.

We were actually starting to feel a bit hopeless by just reading the comments on social media, but when we found out that protests are happening in universities to air their disagreement (and disgust?) on this move, we knew we're on our way to feeling fine again.

Students from De La Salle University brought their sentiments to the streets.

Ateneo de Manila students walked out of their classes and reminded everyone why this is a very important matter we should all be concerned about.

The University of the Philippines Diliman rang the bell of the Carillion to signal their disagreement on this move.

Various protests are still ongoing and are scheduled today. The original protest Occupy Libingan ng mga Bayani was scheduled for December 11, but when everyone was caught off guard by the suddent turn of events which was burying the body of the dictator today, it was moved to today.

Rappler published a schedule of rallies and protests going on today and we urge you to stand up, get out, and participate. This isn't a battle between two families, but a battle for our country. The fact that this burial has to happen behind our backs is enough proof that they know it's a wrong move that will reopen wounds and something that most Filipinos will disagree with.
