College education is important and having a degree can take you places. But there are also people who weren't able to obtain diplomas that went on to forge their own unconventional way to success.
Nina Dizon-Cabrera is the CEO of local beauty brand Colourette Cosmetics as well as its sister brand, the skincare line Fresh Formula. Nina shares that she decided to drop out of college (she went to Holy Angel University) after trying out three different college courses, namely, Nursing, Accountancy, and then Marketing. While pursuing a degree may not have worked out for her, Nina's entrepreneurial mindset pushed her to keep hustling and eventually build her own beauty empire.
In this episode of Made It, Nina talks about starting a business as a college student, venturing into new opportunities, and eventually growing her brand into what it is now.
Made It! is a video series where Candy talks to various professionals about how they started and established themselves in their respective fields.
