How 2019 Bar Topnotcher Atty. Mae Diane Azores Ended up Taking Accountancy as Her Pre-Law
Being a lawyer isn't for the faint-hearted, but law school can help you lay the groundwork for your desired profession. Part of the preparations is enrolling in an undergraduate degree program that can serve as your pre-law course. While many law students go for pre-law programs like Political Science, there are other courses that can help you prepare for the rigorous law school curriculum.
For Atty. Mae Diane Azores, who topped the 2019 Bar Exams, Accountancy ended up being helpful in her law school journey, even though it wasn't her first choice for her pre-law. This was so that she would have a fallback career if she ever decides not to continue on with law school. Even though she was determined to pursue law, Atty. Azores took her mom's advice and pursued Accountancy, which thankfully ended up giving her an edge in certain subjects in law school.
In this episode of Made It, Atty. Azores talks in detail about her unconventional pre-law course, the tough life of a law student, and the important life skill that allowed her to thrive in her chosen profession:
