The gorgeous young star Julia Barretto has come a long way in her life and career. She's grown up and learned a lot of life lessons along the way. We were lucky enough to get to talk to her at the recent Modess #KabatoKaya event where the sweet star and brand ambassador shared with us a few tips on dealing with self-doubt and learning to gain confidence.

What's your mantra when you're feeling down?
"'Everything will get better.' I feel like it's something that is said so many times but when you look at it it's actually true. At some point in our lives we will experience so many days  wherein we're not going to be fine but then you realize also after a while, you're gonna be fine after that one day that you aren't feeling okay. I always remind myself that no matter how I’m feeling now, whether it’s bad or I feel very broken, it's going to be better."

When do you feel most confident?
"When you start to believe in yourself, when you start to embrace your flaws; those moments like that, when that happens, that's when you're confident."

How do you deal with self-doubt and negativity?
"It all goes down from the support from your family and your friends. It's also important to have very positive people around you who will uplift you and make you feel good about yourself."
