WATCH: What It's Like to Start a Small Business as a Student
Starting a business is no easy feat. From contacting suppliers to smoothening out the daily operations, there are lots of details to iron out before you can officially start one. Not to mention, you'd have to dedicate your time, energy, and money to it.
For college student Dencel Ulson, however, it was worth a try. Dencel started a small business she initially called Dency Cosmetics with just P1,500, a part of which was a loan from her mother. It later on evolved into a wider brand that carries products other than makeup.
As a college student, a content creator on YouTube, and a one-man team for her business, Dencel has her plate full with different responsibilities. She wouldn't have it any other way, though. With around a thousand followers on Instagram (and counting!) and a growing page on the e-commerce site Shopee, Dencel is using her small business not just as a source of income but also as a form of stress relief.
