Let's face it, we may have been writing down the same resolutions every year, mostly because they are not as easy to achieve! Some of us may need more help in actually starting to work on the goals, so we came up with concrete and simple plans that you can do without overwhelming yourself.
Start Working Out
They say the hardest part about working out is actually starting to work out, and we agree! So if you have this on your list (again—yes, we know), you can start by leveling up some of your usual activities. Here are a few ideas for you:
- Walk for a longer period of time.
- Walk faster (brisk walking for 30 minutes every day is a good cardio exercise already!).
- Take the stairs if you are going only two floors up or down.
- Wake up earlier (the earlier you get out of bed, the more activities you can do!).
Why do the most delicious things have to be so unhealthy, right? We know the struggle so we came up with a slow but steady plan to help you without having to stop eating junk food!
- Out of all the junk food you eat, just take one item out for at least a month.
- Look for better alternatives (try multigrain crackers, they are just as yummy as your chips!).
- Go on a food trip! The more types of food you know, the more options you have, and the better chances you have at finding yummy and healthy dishes!
Be Less Negative
We all need to contribute to spreading more positivity in this world, and while you may be used to being grumpy and skeptical at times, we think you can still be happy even in the least bit. Here's how:
- Tweet/post about anything good that happens to you every day. It could be something that you experienced or something that you have witnessed.
- If you are more of an introvert than an extrovert, just a smile to your kuya guards and your school ates is more than enough.
- Just like those little girls saying good things to themselves on the mirror, you can do that too before you go to sleep!
