How to Plan the Perfect Mother's Day Salubong for the Most Important Woman in Your Life

Make her feel super special this weekend.

She's the one who carried you inside her tummy for nine months, and gave birth to you in a reallyyy painful way. She's also the tireless person who takes care of your meals, clothes, and basically, everything you need. She makes sure you have everything you need and will gladly sacrifice anything and everything to make your life easier. Yup, that's your mom's life.

So this weekend, instead of watching her do all those things for you for the nth time, why don't you let her take some time off and ask your whole family to give her the best day of her year by planning the perfect Mother's Day salubong for her? Don't know where and how to start? Don't worry because we got your back.

  1. Cook her favorite food for her.

She takes care of you and your entire family's baon, so it's about time you switch things up even just for one day. Instead of paying someone to cook food for her party, why don't you ask the entire family to help you cook your mom's favorite dish. It won't taste as good as her cooking, but we're sure she'll appreciate the time and effort you put into it.

  1. Write a letter for her.

Instead of writing down the generic "thank you for making meals for me and giving me life," write a heartfelt letter for your mom and thank her for all her sacrifices to make sure you have a good life. Also, apologize for all the times you've yelled at her and thought she's annoying. She'll surely have a great time reading your words and will remember all of them during the hard times—like when you don't listen to her and don't do the chores she asked for a thousand times to do. Oh, and don't forget to tell her you love her!

  1. Make sure you've got the entire family with you.

Mom won't probably tell you this, but we found out (hee hee!) that they love seeing all their kids together. So for this surprise, make sure you've got your siblings with you and that you're complete. But if one or two of your sibs are away for school or work, make sure they're on Skype or Facetime just so mom can see your group effort. Who knows, you might even make her tear up in the end. ♥

As we've said before, it really doesn't take much to make people happy. Knowing that they've spent time and effort alone can bring a huge smile on their faces because those are the things that you can't measure and buy with money.
