Once you set foot in the university, you are expected to be able to deal with a lot of responsibilities. College, as they say, serves as your training ground for ~*adulting*~. But that doesn't mean it has to be boring and dull, Candy Girls. You can have fun, too, while juggling all your commitments. Just make sure you remember these things so you can live your best college life yet!

  1. Be open to make new friends.

In the dizzying world of university life, you will meet different people from different walks of life. Some of them will be your groupmates in certain subjects, while others will become your friends. You will not always agree with them 100% but remember to stay open to the possibility of building relationships with them. Who knows, one of them may even turn out as your college best friend.

  1. Brace yourself for the unexpected.

If you got so used to the predictability of high school, then better get ready for college. There will be profs you won't be able to deal and classmates who will give you a difficult time telling yourself that learning is fun. Plus, you're in charge of your daily schedule, too. You have the freedom to decide for yourself and you know what they say about that, with great freedom comes great responsibility. Use that wisely.

  1. Join an organization.

College organizations will not only help you build connections which you can use once you graduate. They will also mold you into the best professional you can be. But it's not all about what you can get once you join an org, it's also about what you can give to the org. Orgs will take your time, just like any other commitment, so better think things through before you decide on joining one.

  1. Invest in clothes that will leave a good impression.

Another thing you'll be dealing with college: presentations. You will be asked to defend and present your ideas before the class and your professor at least once in your college life. So you better prepare for that by investing in clothes that will help you put your best foot forward. Plus, you can use some of them by the time you apply for internship, too!

  1. Learn to relax once in a while.

College isn't all about studying and excelling in school 24/7. You also have to learn how to take good care, better care of yourself. If you're already feeling stressed and uninspired, stop and give yourself a break. Make sure that in the midst of everything, you still have enough time to breathe and take in everything. It's good that you're investing in your future, but it's also good to appreciate what you have today once in while.
