Take notes.

Count on Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis' daughter Lily Rose to turn 16 in her own unique way. While a lot of 16-year-olds to-be have a Sweet 16 Party, our girl crush Lily threw a "Sour Sixteen" birthday bash for her and her friends.

Lily Rose Depp wears what looks like an onion necklace to her Sour Sixteen party.

So what are the important elements for a Sour 16 Party? Take your cue from Lily and her friends.

 1  Wear a tiara.

You know, just in case people forget you're the Queen of the night.

 2  Set the mood.

Judging from the photos, Lily seems to mashed up Victorian and Marie Antoinette elements (with a bit of horror?) for her birthday bash.

 3  Make everything Instagrammable.

Guillotine prop, why not? Kinda creepy, but just make sure that's not a real blade, k???

4  Ask everyone to come in theme.

Because a lone girl in distressed jeans and a tee would be lost in a sea of lace-dress-wearing guests. Right?

 5  Have fun!

Don't take it too seriously. At the end of the day, you know you had a great birthday when you're tired but happy—and so are your guests.
