How to Deal with Haters According to Andrea Brillantes's Vlog Post

Andrea Brillantes is a lot like other 13-year-olds in terms of being a total fangirl, updating her social accounts, or hobbies. What's different is she gets flak for almost everything she does—she gets called out for being a "fake fan," wearing clothes that are "not appropriate for her age," or even her "pabebe" speaking voice—sadly, just one of the downsides of being a celebrity. The upside is, being hated on has taught her how to be strong and tune out the negative things that come her way even at such a young age. Below, she shares her tips on dealing with the haters and bashers.
- Know that you can't please everybody.
"Hindi lahat [ng tao] magugustuhan ka. Madaming magiging against sa'yo pero gawin mo lang kung anong gusto mo."
- Turn to the people who you value and who value you.
"Wala din akong care [sa haters] kasi madami akong supporters. Madami din nagmamahal sa 'kin, so kung may nag he-hate sa inyo, isipin niyo nalang na mas madaming nag-ma-mahal sa inyo and i-balewala mo nalang sila."
- Ignore the comments especially if you know the real story.
"Ako, nag-po-post ako ng Harley Quinn [-related stuff] kahit walang naniniwala sa akin at iniisip nila na 'carrot' ako or fake fan. Nag-po-post ako about Ariana Grande, Nirvana, The Beatles, pero wala akong care [sa negative comments] kasi alam ko naman na 'di ako fake fan."
- Kill 'em with kindness
"Gusto ko lang sabihin [sa haters], I love you, good luck, take care, study hard, God bless sa life, and kung ano man ang pinag-da-daanan mo dyan kaya parang hate na hate mo 'yung world, hayaan mo na. Maging masaya na tayong lahat. And spread the love."
