Most of you who are in college are probably looking for internships right now. And maybe most of you are wondering how you can get the intership in your dream company. Worry not because Chelsea Fagan and Lauren Ver Hage of The Financial Diet came up with a video where they talk about the cringe-worthy things they got when they opened the applications to their summer intern program.

Herre are a few things we learned from these two amazing ladies:

1. Not researching the company you're applying to.

When you're applying to a company, you should go out of your way to at least know a few basic facts about the company in question and be able to cite at least one or two specific reasons to the company why you want to work there.

2. Applying long after a job has been posted.

Lauren: "If you can't even follow a simple instruction of sending in your application with a time-sensitive deadline on it."

3. Sending multiple applications to a company.

Chelsea: "It's incredibly annoying and disrespectful."

4. Not proofreading materials you send in.

Lauren: "When I was applying to things like internships and jobs, I would have three people proofread my cover letters and resumes just to make sure there was absolutely no errors on them."

5. Sending a cover letter that's clearly a template.

Chelsea: "No matter how many companies you're applying to, take that extra time to craft that cover letter unique to that company."
