You're Not the Only One Who Feels Like You're Not Enough
"But here's the thing, you're not as a 'Not As' as you thought you were. You're so much more. Even too much more. You're a little bit less. And that's okay."

Believe it or not, our dear Candy Girls, you're not alone in this feeling of not being enough. We always tend to compare our story with other people's stories, especially when we go online and scroll through our feeds. We ask ourselves why we can't do this and that or why we're our efforts just go to waste. The truth is everyone goes through that, even if they don't say it. We all have our own battles to fight and live through.

How are we so sure that you're not alone in this battle? Because even your fellow Candy Girls wrote about not being enough via our Candy Feels section. Here's what they have to say about it.

Carrie Bradshaw: To the Girl Who Thinks She's Not Good Enough

"There's this girl. She's not as quirky as you. She's not as petite as you. She's not as curvy as you. She's not as animated as you. She's not as introverted as you. She's not as in love with romantic comedies and ice cream as you. She's not as obsessed with makeup tutorials or new books. She's not as lazy as you. She's not as random as you. She's not as unfiltered as you. She's not you."

She's just that girl. She's a "not as," just like you.

"And maybe that's enough for you now. To be a not as or to see someone else as a not as. But as far as you're concerned, you being a "not as" is enough for someone. You're just not as ready as you will be in a few years from now, maybe not as ready as you will be a few months or a couple days from the moment you're reading this."

But here's the thing, you're not as a "Not As" as you thought you were. You're so much more. Even too much more. You're a little bit less. And that's okay.

Jaica Jainiel: Read This When You Feel That You're Not Good Enough

"It feels a little too much and I'm tired of disappointing myself anymore. Sometimes I feel like life is so unfair. I feel envious of people who don't even need to try and still do well. I remember reading all the positive thoughts and motivation online just to cheer me up, but they didn't really help. I hate looking at myself and realizing that I don't like what I see.

"But there was one moment when I gained my self-esteem back. That moment when I felt proud of myself for that little achievement I got. Later on, I realized that I was busy trying to bring myself down that I didn't see that I can do better, that I am so much more than how I thought of myself. I just have to believe in myself and learn to love my imperfections."

I realized that I was busy trying to bring myself down that I didn't see that I can do better, that I am so much more than how I thought of myself.

"At this point in life, growing up hasn't been easy. But one important thing I've learned is that it's okay not to be okay. It's okay to feel that pain. It's okay to fail. Don't be afraid of failing and end up refusing to try something new. Instead, use it as your motivation, use it as the reason why you need to be strong and strive hard for the things that make your life worth it."

Tell us your stories, too, Candy Girls. We'd want to hear what you have to say about life, college, politics, and feminism! You can send us you submissions via Candy Feels.
