From Our Readers: To the Person Who Made Me Dream
One of the best feelings in the world is when you love someone who loves you back. There's someone you can rely on every situation you're facing in life. There's someone who can comfort you when you're at your weakest point, someone who can make you smile and laugh even if you don't want to, and someone willing to become your knight in shining armor to fight for you when you feel like giving up. And there really is someone who's willing to spend the rest of his life with you. A perfect definition of a partner you imagined it to be in your own fairy tale.
Like other fairy tales, you begin with Once Upon a Time and you expect you end with a Happily Ever After. And because of this, you feel like you're too much in a dream that you don't want to wake up from anymore. But didn't you know the words "too much" won't make your happiness last any longer? Too much of being in a dream, you forget about the reality until it knocks at your door and comes in.
It's good to dream but not to the point of letting yourself live in it. It's better to let go of that to dream in order to face the reality. But don't keep yourself from falling in love. Yes, it hurts but it feels so good. Don't let your fear of getting hurt stop you from loving. After all, how can you know more about love without getting hurt and experience pain? Just don't let it control you; rather learn to control it because the best part of dreaming is finding yourself facing the reality that was once your dream.
