Love. It's one of our favorite words, but we all find it difficult to put it into words. And even if we have a hundred stories written about it, we still find the need every day to talk about it and share our own love stories. We just can't get enough of love, and that's good news because it's what the world needs right now.
But these two Candy Girls found their meaning of love from the Bible, specifically from the chapter dedicated to love: 1 Corinthians 13. In their Candy Feels entries, these girls describe the love of their lives which were inspired by the famous chapter in the Bible. Read what they have to say below:
Kreisha Daza: You Are My 1 Corinthians 13 Love:
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
I love how you always correct me when I'm at fault. I love how you never condone my wrongdoings. And, my love, I believe this is the most essential part of all relationships—to be able to correct each other without hesitation lovingly.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres.
I felt how willing you are to protect me despite the distance that separates us. I felt how your trust is able to sail in ships and fly through planes. I'm able to see how hopeful you are that we would be able to see each other soon; and your perseverance to pursue me and to be with me is so evident that I do not doubt at all. My love, actions speak louder than words; even if you will not tell me that you love me every day, I would still feel and see it.
Oh, and one last thing: I love you too. And yes is my answer to the question you have been asking.
Marojadecru: You Will be My 1 Corinthians 13:7 Love:
I will wait. I'm willing to wait. Please know that you're always in my prayers and you'll always be there, always and forever. He will be the center of our relationship because without Him, I'll never meet someone like you. Someone who makes me happy, lively, full of energy and all. Someone who pushes me to be the best version of myself without even knowing it. Someone who believes in me and in my kindness.
Life with Christ is an even more wonderful adventure with you.
You will always be my 1 Corinthians 13:7 love. I'll always protect, always trust, always hope in you, and persevere for you. And our love will never give up, never lose faith, it will always be hopeful, and it will endure through every circumstances in all things.
Tell us your stories, too, Candy Girls. We'd want to hear what you have to say about life, college, politics, and feminism! You can send us you submissions via Candy Feels.
