Life is a bowl and love is the recipe.
We are the cooks—the ones with the story.
We mix the different flavors,
Add some fruit to blend colors.
We'll add a handful of the veggies, green and leafy
To keep the relationship nice and healthy.
Add some parts butter and cream
For a smooth road in living this dream.
A cup of fight is just right
As long as a bagful of patience is in sight.
A pinch of sorrow will do
Because we have a spoonful of happiness, too.
We can have some minced arguments
With fresh understanding and compliments.
Grated loneliness is just fine
As long as I'm yours and you are mine.
Then we'll garnish this bowl with sweet moments,
Along with memories of love as its best condiments
And place it inside the oven of time.
