From Creative Corner: Again, I Go Unnoticed

There you are, in our doorway, wearing that perfect smile that instantly makes me nervous. And here I am, watching you from afar, hoping that one day, I’ll be the reason for your happiness. You walk inside and kiss my roommate, not minding that I was just a few meters away. Step any closer and you might just hear my heart breaking into pieces. Of all the people that you had to date, you chose the one person that'll make me hurt the most.
I’ve been in love with you since God knows when. Honestly, I didn't even know it myself. I just know that wherever I go, whoever I look at, my heart and mind will always find its way back to you.
I guess having you in my life as early as 5 years old left a huge dent in my life. I’ve been there when you had your first crush, been there when you fell in love, been there when you broke your heart and I've been there when you fooled around. I never left your side, thinking I was doing so because you were my childhood friend. However, when time passed by, I couldn't escape the feelings I had for you. I was falling for you, and all I could do was smile and pretend that everything's okay. Whenever you told me about your crush, I just smiled and told you, "She's pretty. Go for it." Whenever you asked me about my guys, I just smile and tell you, "He's not my type." Well, that part is true. They’re not my type. Truth be told, you're not my type either. But there's something about you. There's just something about you that makes me the martyr that I am.
I look at you, again, hoping that you’d look at me instead of fooling around with my roommate. But that doesn't happen. Again I go unnoticed, by the one man that has all my attention.
