Come sooner, 2017!

The year 2017 hasn't even started, but it's already looking bright and most definitely better than 2016. For starters, college students who choose to enroll in state universities and colleges (SUCs) now have the chance to study for free!

This is because the House and the Senate have approved the Commission on Higher Education's P8.3-billion allocation for free tuition in all SUCs including the P3.35-trillion budget for next year. This means that more or less than 1.4 million students of 114 SUCs in the Philippines can benefit from this game-changing move!

As to how the total amount would be divided among the SUCs, the commission is still working on it. But the good news is, this is only the start of a brighter future ahead, thanks to the hardwork and firm determination of the youth and their progressive organizations for their fellow youth! Come sooner, 2017!
