Just two years after speaking about feminism as the ambassador for UN's HeForShe, a gender-equality movement, Emma Watson gone and done it again. At the HeForShe IMPACT University Champions launch in New York City, Emma spoke in front of the UN General Assembly about the safety of women on campus. (via The Cut)
As a graduate of Brown University, she recounted how the university became her home and that her experience has shaped who she is now. She emphasizes that it is important for women to feel that apart from being given the right to education, they must also be made to feel that they have the right to lead. Women must have equal opportunities as men on campus. She continues to point out that the safety of women, minorities, and anyone who is vulnerable must be recognized as a right and not a privilege.
