Do This When You're Not Feeling Confident About Your Body

Plus size model Ashley Graham has always been vocal about embracing the body that she's in, but it doesn't mean she's completely gotten rid of her self-doubts and insecurities. "I wake up sometimes and I think, 'I'm the fattest woman alive.' But it's really about how you handle it when you wake up," Ashley said at the Urban Arts Partnership 25th anniversary benefit. Her solution? "I look in the mirror and I have my affirmations. And mine are simple:

"You are bold. You are brilliant, and you are beautiful."

She sometimes goes the extra mile and pays compliments to specific areas she's not really feeling at the moment.

"If my lower pooch is really puffing out that day, I say, 'Lower pooch, you are cute.' And we have a moment. And if the hips are really popping I say, 'I love you too, hips.'"

Doing so may not change anything physically, but you'll be surprised with the wonders it can do for your self-esteem.
