Aside from a general ranking of universities across the globe, the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings also ranks educational institutions by subject. In the 2021 edition, De La Salle University made it to the rankings in five different subject areas.Â
DLSU landed in the 601+ bracket for Business and Economics and Social Sciences, and in the 601-800 bracket for Computer Science, Engineering, and Physical Sciences. Out of these five, DLSU is the top-ranked Philippine university in four subject areas:
Business and Economics
Computer Science
Engineering
Physical Sciences
In the overall World University Rankings for 2021, only two Philippine universities made it to the list, with DLSU figuring at the 1,000 bracket and University of the Philippines landing at the 401 to 500 bracket.Â
Aside from these subject areas, THE also listed other accomplishments made by the institution, which includes being the first university in Southeast Asia to attain the Quality Mark at the Institutional Level from the ASEAN University Network and having the highest total research output among Philippine private higher educational institutions from 2014 to 2019.
