If you are a fan of K-dramas, we’re pretty sure you are familiar with Crash Landing On You a.k.a. CLOY starring Hyun Bin as Captain Ri and Son Ye Jin as Yoon Se Ri. But move over South Korea, Philippines has its own CLOY, or the Cordillera Landing On You. It is an online shop for Cordillera province’s goods like fruits, vegetables, products of Baguio like walis, strawberries, ube jam, they also sell woven masks and coffee from Benguet that they deliver around Metro Manila.
According to the founder of CLOY, Teddy Baguilat Jr., who calls himself Capt. Ri,b he used CLOY to attract more customers because he knows how fascinated Pinoys are when it comes to K-drama. But their goal is not to help a woman cross the borders of Korea, but rather to help the farmers of Cordillera bring their products to Metro Manila. As a thank you, buyers who will order more will receive free pre-loved books owned by one of their business partners.
