1. Empower the Disabled
Try: Link Center for the Deaf
Location: 2/F, MQI building, 42 Esteban Abada St., cor. Rosa Alvero St., Loyola Heights, Quezon City.
Target: Deaf public school students (elementary and high school)
Simple Step: Learn sign language and participate in some of their minor projects such as the monthly Psycho Spiritual Development program and the remedial summer enrichment program for the deaf.
Extra Challenge: Help in major culminating projects such as their camp, with topics that range from nature, personal discovery and team building. This November, they will have their Dental Medical Mission and the Deaf Awareness Week Sports Fest.

2. Rebuild the dreams of underprivileged youth
Try: Pangarap Shelter
Location: Barangay 89, Zone 9, Pasay City
Target: Former streetchildren who are undergoing rehabilitation and therapy.
Simple Step: Ask your parents if you can sponsor the education of one of the kids. While cash donations are welcome, donations of clothes, books, beddings, and useable furniture will help make the kids' lives more confortable as well.
Extra Challenge: Be a Math, Science and English tutor to these kids every Saturday. It will take just three hours of your time, and give you that fulfilling experience of being an ate to someone.
