Orgs You Can Join If You Want To Be More Active As An LGBT Ally

True enough, 2020 is another year for us to break stereotypes for good. Slowly (ok, reeeaally slowly), gender roles are becoming a thing of the past, and rightfully so. As the world becomes more open, we’re more capable of changing the status quo. And while there is still a long way to go, it’s become so much easier to find like-minded people who share the same cause. 

Gender equality and understanding sexual orientation and gender identity expression (SOGIE), by themselves, are complex matters. One of the ways to really understand why your stand matters or why you should make a stand at all, is through continuous learning. What better way to learn than with people who are just as passionate about changing the world as you, right?

Akbayan Youth consists of young people, just like you, who want to change the world by working towards the realization of good governance and transformative politics. Aside from representing the youth in several anti-discrimination dicussions acrosss the country, they also offer services geared towards equality.

Philippine Anti-Discrimination Alliance of Youth Leaders 

Philippine Anti-Discrimination Alliance of Youth Leaders is a network of young Filipinos campaigning for the passage of the anti-discimination bill in Congress. Aside from lobbying, they also conduct training and hold events to further help people in understanding SOGIE.

Initially founded as a platform to respond to the alarming rise of HIV cases in the Philippines, The Red Whistle believes that many of the issues we face today require intersectional responses.
