This 9-Year Old Cancer Warrior Helps Hospitals By Selling Artwork

Pio is a 9-year-old kid who loves to paint. Thanks to his fascination with galaxies and a dream to become an astronaut, he started to paint the galaxy at the age of three using his mother’s makeup palettes and brushes.Â
At the age of four, he was diagnosed with Chordoma, a rare type of cancer that occurs in the bones of his skull base and spine. Unfortunately, there are no available treatments for radiation here in the country. That’s why his mom started bake sales to slowly pay for his treatments that are only offered abroad.
In 2015, Pio started selling his artwork with the help of his aunt, and used the money to pay for his surgery. Eventually, Pio decided to give back to those who helped him through his journey. He started with the Charity Pediatric Ward of PGH, and now he chooses to help our frontliners.
If you want to buy Pio’s artworks, you can message them through their page Aedan Pio’s Fight with the Uncommon on Facebook.
