This year is indeed a happy one for all K-Drama shippers. First, Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo's Lee Sung Kyung and Nam Joo Hyuk confirmed that they are indeed dating. And just today, Descendants of the Sun's Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki's agency announced that they are getting married! *cue shipper squeals* To say that we're happy about these reports is an understatement because in reality, all of us shippers go through different stages of equal parts happiness, excitement, gratitude, and more. Here are the six stages we go through when we find out that our fave on-screen couples are dating in real life:

  1. "OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG!"

Upon seeing the news on your feed, all eloquence is lost on you and is replaced with just a string of OMGs. You say it in between reading the headline, checking if the source is legit, and realizing that—holy smokes—the news is true and that the couple you've been shipping since forever is now (or has been, all along) an actual couple!

  1. You immediately share the news on your socials.

You waste no time and share the story on your social media accounts ASAP. Like the true shipper that you are, you monitor the comments and reactions to your post and reply to all of them, all while refreshing your Facebook or Twitter for new updates.

  1. You send your fellow shippers a message.

Or tag them on the posts you see. You don't have to say much—an "OMG!!!" is enough to get the impassioned conversation started.

  1. You revisit old clips, pictures, and articles and look for signs of love from when they were just friends.

You start re-watching their show and reviewing videos from their press interviews, and feel doubly kilig at the thought of them already having feelings for each other at the time.

  1. You make memes and reaction videos and flood your timeline with such.

You make or repost all sorts of memes related to the news and basically flood your timeline or feed with it—from crying happy tears to screencaps of their show to GIFs of your ship!

  1. You basically spend the entire day being a happy shipper.

You're so happy, you hug the fellow shippers you come accross with and share your respective reactions, like what you were doing when you found out, what you did when you saw the news, etc.
