  1. Keep the text to a minimum.

Achieve a cleaner look by leaving as many white spaces as possible. This could be easily done by keeping your text short. Notice how neat the spread looks even with an assortment of ephemera? That's because of the white spaces!

  1. Follow a color scheme.

Decide on the colors you want to use and make sure to stick to your color scheme when designing the entire spread. Doing so can help make your weekly layout look well-put together.

  1. Include positive messages.

There's nothing like a good, empowering message that can instantly add beauty to a spread. Use stickers or tags (some of which you can buy at the Teen Con!) or simply write them down.

  1. Go all out with the accessories.

Add bookmarks, stickers (the Stick 'Em Up book has loads!), banners, cutouts, pocket folders, and a lot more keep your planner spread festive. You'll be surprised how useful these knickknacks are!
