Obsessed with Paper? Here's How You Can Use It For Your Debut Details

We won't be surprised if you've planned to incorporate a DIY project (or two, or three) into your debut. As you think of easy-to-do and affordable crafts, you'll realize that paper is one of the most exciting and inexpensive things you can work with. Below, we share with you different ways to incorporate paper in your debut details.

Floral centerpieces
Paper flowers are easy-to-make adornments for almost any kind of debut. There are various ways to do this: you can opt for delicate blooms that resemble roses, or go for origami-type paper flowers. With the right mix of colors, these flowers can make for unusual table centerpieces.

Lanterns
Add a wonderful glow to your debut venue with dark paper lanterns or luminaries. You may hang these lanterns from the ceiling or trees (for outdoor venues) or line them up the pathways. These paper lanterns will definitely make your debut a cozier affair.

Wall decor
Beautify your backdrop with paper décor such as garlands, round paper fans or cockades featuring your debut motif. You may also do buntings or banners by cutting out several colorful pieces in your chosen shape (you can go for the traditional triangles or playful star or heart shapes). You may use these as a backdrop for your dessert buffet, or you may even create a mini version to serve as your cake topper. You may print your initials or the date of your debut on the cutouts to make the buntings more personal.

Make the celebration even more festive with colorful confetti! These are fun and very easy to do. You can punch out shapes using a regular paper puncher or those fun-shaped ones. You'll need lots of confetti to achieve the party-perfect effect, so ask your friends to help you out. Queue the confetti shower after your dance number or another debut highlight.

Your debut favors like photos and take home sweets can be even more memorable if you personalize them with paper. When giving out such souvenirs to guests, include thank-you notes printed on fancy paper. You may also do origami (cranes are a popular choice) that your guests can take home.
