2016 is almost over, Candy Girls, and we hope that you've done most of the things you promised yourself you'd do this year already. But if you still haven't, don't worry because you've still got time! It's only September and you have more than three months to do what you have to and what you want to do.

Go ahead, review your 2016 bucket lists, gather your friends, and cheer for each other. And while you're at it, why don't you add these things to your to-do lists this year? May 2016 be your best year yet, Candy Girls!

  1. Learn how to drive. Driving a car is one life skill everyone should have. There are a lot of driving schools that offer cheap rates for those who want to apply for a student license, so make sure you do your research and try your hand at it as early as now.

  2. Smile at a stranger. You'll be surprised at what one smile can do. Why don't you try extending some kindness to the people you bump into on your way to school?

  3. Help an elderly. Lend a helping hand to an elderly—whether they're crossing the street or going up or down the overpass, try and help them have things easier.

  4. Learn to play an instrument. Always been interested in music but can't seem to find the time to learn how to play one? Ask a friend or someone you know who knows how to play to teach you. Aside from bonding with them, you can also do something you've always wanted to do.

  1. Find the red lipstick that suits your skin tone. If you're lazy to do your makeup, then a red lippie will do the trick. Just swipe the perfect one for you and you're all set!

  2. Learn how to do your own kilay. Because kilay is everything, make sure that your eyebrows are always on fleek. You just don't notice it but groomed kilay makes a lot of difference on your face, so always learn how to do your eyebrow makeup.

  3. Go camping with your barkada. Make use of your weekends and go on an adventure with your friends. If you're not a huge fan of the outdoors, you can try setting up camp in your backyard instead and spend the night in the tent.

  4. Open your own savings account. Learn how to handle your money better by starting your own savings account. Go to the bank nearest you and inquire for the type that doesn't need much to get you started. Make sure to ask them how much you have to put in every month, too, when you go.

  1. Go swimming under the rain. It's the rainy season already but that doesn't mean you have to put your relationship with the waters on hold. It's actually relaxing to go swimming while the rain is pouring, too, so why don't you try it once in your life?

  2. Try commuting to a place you've never visited. Be it a museum miles away from your house or a friend's house from the other side of town, try commuting—and we mean buses and jeepneys, not cabs!—and paying them a visit. This way, you'll know your way around the metro and won't have to rely on cabs in case an emergency arises. Just make sure you tell your parents where you're going so they'll know you're safe and alright!

  3. Get into a fitness routine. Promise yourself that you're going to take care of your body better in the coming months and years. You don't have to be thin, please remember that, Candy Girls. You have to be fit and healthy—choose to eat healthier options and stay active.

  4. Write yourself a letter to read for the end of 2017. Give yourself some much-needed encouragement when the next year ends. You won't know what situation you'll be in next year and trust us, some inspo from your past self will be encouraging. To make the activity more fun, ask your friends to do a time capsule with you!
