One of the highlights and most memorable moments of high school will always be the JS Prom. Most people would even go as far as saying that you'll miss half of your life if you don't attend your prom. But what if you don't have a date? Will you just stay at home and sulk all night while your friends go out and have fun, or will you turn the situation around and make it the best night of your life?

Here are 10 tips that will surely lift your spirits and give you courage to take on those high heels and stride into that ballroom, coiffed hair and made-up face held high, with or without a date.

1. Dance the Night Away

Who says you have to have a date to be out on the dance floor? Instead of just sitting by the punch bowl or hanging out near the chocolate fountain, why not take off your heels, grab your other dateless pals, and just dance? Not only will you get to show off your awesome dance moves, you’ll also lose those extra calories you gained while sampling the buffet table. Win-win situation, yes?

2. Snap the Night Away

Not having someone to hold hands with does have its perks as it allows you to take hold of your camera and snap photos of the amusing happenings around you, may it be the not-so-nice queen bee tripping over her dress, the stern class president finally letting loose, or even that cute guy eyeing you from across the buffet table. Friends will remember you for immortalizing those precious moments and thank you for it in the years to come.
