Staying at home for long periods of time means less opportunities to dress up. By now, you probably have clothes that don't fit you or your style anymore. Instead of leaving them to collect dust in your closet, why not put them up for sale in case other people are interested? Not only do you make space for future purchases but you also earn a bit in the process. If you're interested in selling clothes you don't use anymore, try using these platforms:

Depop

Depop is a social shopping app where users can put items, usually pre-loved, up for sale. It's widely popular internationally, but it also has users in the country, including Nadine Lustre. With Depop, however, 10 percent of an item's price will go to the company, but the rest you get to keep for yourself.

Instagram

One of the easiest way to let people know you have items up for grabs is to make an Instagram account dedicated to it. It's accessible to potentially interested buyers and it's easy to manage, too, since you're already familiar with how the app is used.

Shopee

Another option is to start a seller account on popular e-commerce platforms like Shopee. To start selling on the popular e-commerce platform, head to the "Me" section of the app and click "Start Selling." From there, you can add in the items you wish to sell and fill up the necessary information your potential buyers would need to know about the product you're selling. They also have more detailed instructions on how to use the app as a seller on their website in case you need more help.

On Shopee, a seller gets the sales of their items when the buyer confirms that their order has been received or when Shopee's Guarantee Period ends.

Carousell

Carousell is another popular shopping app for preloved items that's similar to Depop. It's popular among influencers (top influencers like Kryz Uy and Laureen Uy have used the app to sell their preloved items).

Facebook Groups

Since the start of quarantine, the popularity of Facebook Groups have soared. Facebook users have joined more than one group on the social media platform dedicated to their respective interests. One such group is dedicated specifically for people looking to buy and sell. Groups like Facebook Marketplace and University Trade have enough members that might be interested in buying your preloved wardrobe.
