Sustainability is a "trend" that should never go out of syle. Over here at Preview HQ, we believe that there should be a conscious effort from us fashionistas to become more aware of how our clothes are made, and the negative effects overconsumption has on our Earth.

As of late, many entreprenuers and fashion-savvy folk have taken it upon themselves to establish brands that create pieces out of recycled fabric. In particular, there's been an abundance of tops, hats, dresses, jackets, and even corsets fashioned out of repurposed flour sacks. We've spotted some on the likes of Kathryn Bernardo and Dimples Romana, and they're definitely worth copping for ourselves!

Dimples even got some tops for her little boys! Aww!

To grab your hands on these sustainably-made pieces, we curated five Instagram stores that sell them in different styles, colors, and sizes. Happy shopping!

5 Instagram Stores That Sell Upcycled Flour Sack Pieces

1. AndAgain

On the top of our list is AndAgain, who were responsible for the cropped polo we saw on Kath, and the kimono Dimples and her kids rocked. With the goal to give flour sacks and waste fabric a second life, each article of clothing is ethically-made and counts as unisex (as all clothes technically are). Tuck these into trousers or toss them over a casual OOTD and you'll be roaming the city in style!

2. Project.ph

Based in Tagaytay, Project.ph has took it upon themselves to showcase how "scraps" can be redone as everyday pieces that are easy on the eyes. They utilize the colorful print on the sacks to create cute patterns on their tops, bucket hats, and jumpsuits (Yup, a full on jumpsuit made of flour sacks!)

3. Wear.Expo

Expose yourself to the world of sustainable and wearable art with Wear.Expo. The online store handmakes each product, paying attention to every stitch, detail, and pattern. If there's a specific piece you want to be made out of the colorful sacks (let's say a biker jacket or a mini-bag), they'd totally take on the request for a reasonable price!

4. Craftcha

Aside from sacks, Craftcha makes use of old jeans, katcha cloth, and hinabi for their dainty dresses, skirts, and tops. What's more is that they work with local mananahis who lovingly put together each item. One can appreciate their genuine advocacy not only for sustainability in fashion, but also for providing livelihoods.

Beach babes, this is the store for you. With their homebase in Palawan, AraPilak is the quintessential brand to hit up for island girl essentials like wrap skirts, flowy frocks, and overalls. All consciously made out of revived flour sacks, of course. You'd be the coolest gal on the shore with these tossed over your swimmies!

BONUS: Neric Beltran

Let's say you've explored your options and are looking for a couture-esque edge with your upcycled pieces. Luckily, renowned designer Neric Beltran has been dabbling into flour sacks with his work, so he's definitely the one to hit up. Vouching for him is the ever-so-charming Joshua Garcia, who was once spotted donning a fatigue-hued kimono made out of scrap fabric. Too cool!
