Last Wednesday, we shared awesome news that Kendall and Kylie Jenner are coming out with a fashion line they both designed and worked on. The same day Topshop announced that they are the official and exclusive stockist (or supplier) of the Kendall + Kylie collection, which they're officially launching worldwide on June 3rd. And, yes, it's coming here to the Philippines in select Topshop stores, which is basically the best news ever! The collection by two of our favorite young style icons is a capsule summer wardrobe, that showcases their unique, distinct, stylish, and eclectic aesthetics, as well as their personal LA lifestyle.
Before the release, Topshop shares with us a few quotes from the girls regarding their inspiration, design process, and more on their personal styles.
What was the inspiration behind the line?
Kendall: "We're trying to bring the LA vibe to Topshops all over the world. We were thinking about the LA girl, who she is, what she loves to do and what her dream capsule wardrobe would be. There are lots of lighter shades and florals that give that sunshine feel."
Talk us through the design process?
Kendall: "It was very natural. We would see things online or in person, someone's style that we loved, or key designs spotted but wanted to make it ours in some way or another. We collated all of our ideas, used those references and worked with the design team to make it real. We came to Topshop, who loved it and it’s just gone from there."
How does your style differ from one another?
Kylie: "Kendall has more of that off-duty model style. She's simple and casual. I'm more of the type that would wear a dress and heels to breakfast. I'm a bit edgier and like darker colors. Generally though, we like a lot of the same things."
