In her new interview with Elle, Alexa Chung gave her take on the denim style that's going to be huge this coming 2017. "We've had distressed edges. We've had culottes. We've had high waisted jeans, we've seen the heralding of the new bootcut back again. I'm so sorry to say this to you, but the only way forward is ultra-hipsters, you know? Like super-low cut, low-rider jeans, to the extreme."

Rocking a pair of low waist pants is edgy and tricky at the same time. But with the impending comeback of the low cut bottoms, we're going to make sure that you're prepared to face 2017 head on with this denim style. So, whether you like to wear your pants really low or not, we're leaving every Candy Girl with options for the upcoming year.

Take a page from the '90s style book and wear your low cut bottoms with a basic white tank! Throw on a pair of round sunnies and heels for a total nineties throwback that is still fun and fashionable in the '00s.

For a cool and laid-back OOTD, rock a pair of baggy boyfriend jeans with an oversized top and maximize proportions. End the look with a pair of pointed heels to add some sleekness to your look for the day.

Embrace the edge of the low cut jeans and wear yours with a striking black crop top! Keep your hair tousled and cap the look off with a pair of strong flatforms for a tough retro getup.

For a dressier take on the low waist style, opt for a pair of nautical-inspired culottes and pair it with a denim crop top. End your OOTD with a pair of white sneaks to keep your look fun, fresh, and effortless.

Take advantage of the tropical weather of the country and wear your low cut jeans with a light crop top. Throw on a straw hat and carry a shopper bag and you’re ready to strut around the streets of Manila.
