If you are still keeping up with The King: Eternal Monarch on Netflix and are reading this, how did you even survive Lee Min Ho and Kim Go Eun’s undeniable chemistry?! Seriously though, all the little kilig moments between Lee Gon and Jeong Tae Eul are starting to get more and more intense as each episode goes by. While the show may have received quite the criticism for being heavy and totally obvious on all the product placements (I mean, someone’s gotta pay the bills, right?), many still tune in for the interesting storyline and the talented cast. After all, most of the actors play two different characters from each of the parallel universes.

If you’ve watched episode 12 already, you might be familiar with this particular scene featuring one of Lee Gon’s sweet gestures for Tae Eul. (If you haven’t: proceed with caution! Minor spoilers ahead.)

Kim Go Eun’s character, Tae Eul, ends up in the Kingdom of Corea and reunites with Lee Min Ho’s character, Lee Gon. The palace staff hauls in racks of clothes for Tae Eul to choose from, as per the king’s order, of course. After changing into her new set of clean clothing, Tae Eul finds a box with a cute plum blossom necklace in the coat pocket, but she ended up taking the necklace off after trying it on. It turns out, the necklace is from a brand called J. Estina, as seen below:

The necklace is called Flolet and it’s worth 180,000 Korean Won or roughly P7,400. Coincidentally, the jewelry brand is a sponsor of the show, so that kilig gesture from Lee Gon is actually a product placement, LOL. All the cute minimalist earrings Tae Eul wears are also from the same brand.

Still, there was a lot of breadcrumbs from that particular scene that surely left viewers quite curious. Tae Eul did mention that the necklace design was plum blossom, which apparently symbolizes many things, including hope, perseverance, and renewal. So who knows, there might be more to the necklace than just paid promo. Guess we’ll just have to stay tuned for the last few episodes!
