In time for the anniversary of one of the nation’s strongest and most beloved couples, Tala by Kyla is releasing a jewelry collection for Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla’s love team.
Tala by Kyla is run by 21-year-old Kyla Cañete and has been releasing lovely pieces since it opened in 2018. Aside from its carefully-curated designs, the homegrown brand’s accessories are known for catering to various fandoms. Kyla constantly takes suggestions from her shop’s followers for its releases. Some of the inspirations from TBK’s existing collections include Studio Ghibli, BLACKPINK, Nevertheless, Harry Potter, Ben&Ben, and more. It’s no wonder that the shop’s Instagram following is nearing the one million mark.
For their KathNiel collection, the pieces are named Bal (the padlock-designed necklace), Tangi (the key bracelet), and Primo & George (the tulips necklace). The names, with the help of KathNiel fans, are an ode to their pet names and their characters from 2018’s highest grossing Filipino movie The Hows of Us. The collection’s name, Tangi, is the pet name they’ve been using more often and it means “only one.” We honestly can’t think of a better name!
Kathryn and Daniel, an on-screen turned off-screen couple, started out as a love team on the ABS-CBN series Growing Up back in September 4, 2011 and the two have been gracing our cinemas with blockbusters after blockbusters, sending us on a whirlwind of emotions (especially kilig) with their roles. They’re set to celebrate their decade-long anniversary as a love team next month.
