If there's anything we absolutely live for, it's comfortable but on-point outfits. Thankfully, wearing pieces that are a size or two bigger is on-trend ATM. They're super comfy, they hide a forthcoming food belly pretty well, and they've racked up enough street cred to be considered cool.

One such piece we can't get enough of right now is the oversized button-down. It might get tricky to pull off the oversized trend without looking tacky, but our Candy Rookies are here to help! So borrow your brother's or boyfriend's polo, or shop at the men's section for yourself, and use these Candy Rookies' looks as pegs for your next OOTD.

1. Oversized button-downs go well with loose bottoms.

Pairing a loose top with an equally loose pair of pants gives off the ultimate laid-back look. Seal the deal by sporting chunky kicks and a casual tote bag.

2. Pair it with high-waisted pants for a more put-together look.

Tucking in your polo in high-waisted bottoms adds a bit of structure to your overall 'fit. Go for items in the same color palette to make your look more coordinated and cohesive.

3. Roll your sleeves up.

Sporting an oversized long-sleeved button-down is a bit more complicated because too much fabric can get overwhelming, especially if you have a small frame. Try folding your sleeves to add some dimension to your look.

4. Use your polo as a coverup.

When you have a button-down that's one or two sizes up, you can basically get away with using it as a cardigan. Pair it with something basic and fitted inside, like a simple tube top, and leave your polo unbuttoned for that street-chic attire.
