Schizophrenic style. I think I have multiple personality disorder when it comes to dressing up, but really, my style is basically anything I feel comfortable in. I don't consider myself stylish or fashionable, but I do feel individual. I'm curvier than most people, so it's difficult for me to look good in a lot of the current fashions.
Shopping store picks. Wherever I can! I like to get basic pieces from nice places like Zara, Topshop, and H&M and then just mix and match. I tend to pick things up everywhere I go.
Favorite fashion designer. I've really loved Alber Elbaz's work for Lanvin. I also like Azzedine Alaïa. And Papa Karl Lagerfeld. He is a fashion god. He'd probably kill me for calling him "Papa Karl" if he knew me, but I adore him.
Pucker up! I don't know if it counts, but red lipstick. It's become a trademark of sorts. :)
Inspiration. I'm inspired by people who are comfortable in their own skin. I can't give specific names because there are a lot of people I look up to in terms of style who probably aren't considered fashionable, but seem so self-assured and confident in who they are and how they carry themselves. That's beautiful.
Style icon. Right now, I'm really loving Dita Von Teese's look (when she's fully clothed, of course). Her outfits are like a throwback to a classier time. Pure vintage goodness, sexy without revealing anything.
Style influence. For a long time, it was the music I listened to. In spite of my newfound fascination with corporate power-dressing, I'm a rock and roll girl at heart.
Closet color palette. It used to look like the '80s threw up in it, but right now I'm trying to build a solid collection of neutrals. A lot of black, white, cream, and gray, with some subdued colors thrown in like navy and plum. I'm trying to get my closet to mature in the hope that I will mature along with it. Haha!
Make it work! Oh, I'd wear anything given an appropriate setting and good styling. :) There are ways to make things work.
Stylish three. A good pair of black stiletto pumps, that worn-in, perfect pair of jeans, and a smile.
Fashion comeback. Corsetry! It might seem anti-feminist, but I have this strange fascination with corsetry.
Vintage finds. I own a charm bracelet that used to belong to my great grand aunt. Each charm represents a country she visited on her travels. I wear it all the time.
